Questions & Comments
The phone you have is a goverment phone i have one just like it the goverment program gives free phones and mins to people on ssi /foodstamps
You can buy this phone as a prepaid phone just as well in the store, and not necessarily get it through Safelink. Can you ask your friend if she bought it, or if you got this through a governmental help program? Thanks!
I'm just commenting to expand on the comment from mylyla. That is entirely correct. This phone being auctioned is provided through the Safelink program funded by the government. The unregistered SIM means that your winning bidder will not be able to re-activate this phone through the conventional Tracfone method. And they will likely not receive the minutes and service days that are currently associated with the phone. That will all be deleted at the time of re-activation of the phone/sim card. The Safelink program can be looked up on the internet. It is provided for people/families that receive government benefits or assistance and provides free phone and phone time for as long as you qualify. The application process can be done online. It's worthwhile to look into for anybody who meets the requirements. I hope this comment helps at least one person during the duration of your listing.
wow thank you so much this help me a lot now i know about this phone and company thank you so much and you said that the person who win it can reconect thanks alot i really appreciated it thanks
I did some further investigating and found that the winning bidder will need to contact Tracfone customer service (online or by phone) and have a new SIM card sent to them free of charge. They will, in fact, lose all minutes and service days shown on the phone currently.
