Oooo, that sounds nice!!!! Thanks for sharing that with us!!! I'll look into Lockheart&G, too!!!!! About mine and J's wedding, our family on both sides are squabbling about what day is best for them. My mom works on the weekends, and everyone else works on the weekdays, but I really want my Mom to be there if we are going to have a traditional-style wedding. So I was thinking, okay, we could have the wedding in the evening after everyone's workday on a Tuesday, marking our 5 years together, and the reception on a Saturday after Mom gets off work, so our families could mingle. For the reception, my mom did NOT like that! She thinks a reception is only a reception if it is RIGHT AFTER the wedding, and said she would not make a wedding cake if I had the reception on a Saturday. Ohhh, wedding drama, LOL. So, I'm thinking that J and I are going to run off somewhere to get married, like Vegas or maybe the state he grew up in (OR that Lockheart & Gables you mentioned...), so we won't have to put up with our families' jibber-jabber about when we should have OUR wedding. What do you think? Any suggestions? :-)

that's crazy sweetheart I'm sorry there's so much drama surrounding your big day that's not right. just remember it is YOUR big day and no one elses. my best friend nearly had her wedding at Lockhart Gables. it's so romantic and really cool cos the husband that runs the b&b is actually a minister.

I know it would probably be expensive to send it to Houston (77073) so if I win could I have one of my bridesmaids that lives in Dallas come pick it up?

You absolutely could no problem. If you win I will send you a private message and we can work out the details of pickup at that time. In the mean time if you want to let your bridesmaid know I live in a city called Watauga, just if you want to run that by her and make sure she doesn't mind coming either here or also willing to meet in Euless where I work. She should be familiar with one of those 2 cities :) Good luck if you bid and congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Hey sweetie looks like you are my only bidder so far. I'm not sure if you got my last message cos I can't remember if I hit reply or just commented. I don't think it will be too expensive but if you are concerned go ahead and message or comment me your zip code and I can give you a quote. Good luck hon

I guesstimate shipping to be between 7-10 dollars to anywhere in the U.S. Remember tho if the bids go over 2000 points I will pay half the shipping ok?

yes. lol. I just have to save up for it. It's $1,057 before alterations. The store I went to was my 3rd store and so quaint and beautiful too. I had a very helpful person...I think it was one she actually picked out too. Go figure. combines my want for a ball gown and lace. It's the allure w282

It sounds amazing hon. I am so happy for you. Also dont know if you have your honeymoon picked out but if ya'll cant afford Hawaii you should really look into a nearby B&B or at least one in Texas maybe. Sites like Living Social and Groupon frequently offer discounts on places like that. If you ever want to stay in a B&B in Dallas/Fort Worth area you should really look into this place called Lockheart Gables. Its super quaint and romantic. My favorite romantic getaway.

Kaufmanemily, best wishes on your wedding day, too! I bet your dress is georgeous! Mine cost $278, including the veil and gloves I ordered. (From Isis, at Town East Mall in Mesquite). LOVE that store! It's just the "where and when" I'm having problems with for the wedding, everything else is a peice of cake, more or less.

We finally picked a deconsecrated catholic church in galveston. It's beautiful and cheaper than getting married in a consecrated one for the ceremony and the reception at garten verein. An old hoity toity glassed in gazebo built in the 1800s for the reception. It's gorgeous!!! Good luck on your wedding too Val_Gal I'm originally from the Dallas area so I know exactly which mall you're talking about lol.
