Thanks! I have considered growing these before but I think I got my hands full with peter peppers. LOL! My dad's friend grows these kind of peppers so I will have plenty of them most likely.
Yeah I've cooked them with frozen Asian veggies before. I also like these kind of peppers in Thai food. I always have some of these when my dad's friend grows them or Chad buys them at the store.
Molly (My dog) lived a decent life Kelly. She loved swimming, going for walks, runs and even doing dog shows. She even got me best of show one time. All she did was jump through a hoop which I tried to get her to do for years using dog cookies. Last show I brought a piece of ham or bacon and she jumped through the hoop for that. I taught her that trick. She knew the words sit and she'd shake your hands if you told her to. She was a brown cocker spaniel. I miss her. She's forever swimming in the lake.
Yeah John did peppers last year despite being in the hospital. He was well enough to spend Christmas with me, my parents as well as Chad. We chat about peppers when we see him. He never even heard of the Heirloom Red Peter Pepper till I brought that kind of pepper up. I told him he'd laugh at the shape. Now I told my mom once mine come up then she can bring a couple home for herself and dad. They saw what the peter peppers look like and that started a decent pepper conversation. LOL!
That is true. They aren't as spicy if they are cooked. I am on the page now and I see a Heirloom red peter pepper auction up. I heard those are spicier than these ones so hopefully will give it a notch. I may grow these ones sometime.
Yes they are yummy. I am wanting to try the Heirloom Red Peter Peppers. One of my friends said she's growing those as well and will sell them at the Farmer's Market.
I do too. Mom came over today to wish my boyfriend a happy birthday and suggested that I water my peter peppers. LOL! I think she wants to try those. I know me and Chad want to try them. One of my friends said she bought peter peppers and but they will be sold to farmer's market somewhere in Kansas. She bought the seeds after she saw the shape of those peppers. I kinda did the same thing but will keep the ones I'm growing and share a couple with my parents. Chad wants to make another one of his made up chili recipes using the peter peppers. We like Habaneros as well.
I am trying to grow a small garden of Heirloom Peter Peppers. I heard those are spicier than these habanero peppers. My parents friend grows habaneros too and lots of them.
Cool! We rent from my father. My mom came over here to help me with the peppers. I planted them indoors. These ones may be ones to start indoors for a while. We tried to grow tomatoes last year and they came up but didn't get any tomatoes. Having all those trees didn't help. My dad chopped down a big huge tree in our backyard so maybe our peppers will have a chance. I mean they should.
