Yes. They are also good for prevacuuming so you can loosen pet hair that the vacuum can't get.

I use to own a carpet business. You clean the carpet and after it is dried you use the rake to fluff the fibers back up.

Yes you can do that too. Carpet cleaner use it to groom the fibers after cleaning (at least the good ones do).

I owned a carpet cleaning business and we always used the rake afterwards. Most people dont know that Dry foam cleaning is the best way to clean. Steam cleaning you dont get all the water out and it rots out your floors and mildews the back of the carpet and padding. I clean my carpets by hand using a scrub brush with (windex or fabreeze), You kill 2 birds with one. Clean and fluff....and for tuff stains you scrub and rub and walah....I have been doing for 14 years by hand....I love it...since companys now adays are not ligit. A 3 bedroom house should take at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to do the carpet. I had this company took 15 minutes to do my house...Needless to say I refused to pay and called his superior and got another tech who took 1 hour and 15 minutes to clean it right....
