This is a NICE large ancient Follis (40 Nummis) coin from the reign of Emperor Justinian I (527-565 AD) of the Early Christian Byzantine Empire. The obverse shows a bust of Emperor Justinian I facing right and the reverse has the Constantinople mint mark (CON) and a large M with a cross. The M is the Greek letter for 40 (40 Nummis).
