The listing, Vintage Ken Doll from 1968 has ended.
Grandkids are clearing out their Barbie's. This is a 1968 Ken Doll. He bends at the waist & knees to a sitting position. His hair color is a little spotty, mostly in the front, It could probably be touched up with some paint or a lt. brown marker. Looks like someone used a marker above his eyebrows, other than that, he's in Great shape. From a smoke free, pet free home.
He's not from 1968 that's a copyright number on his butt, he's from the 80's so that still makes him vintage.it's sad when I can say the 80's make him vintage...LOL !! I'm ancient compared to that...LOL :-)
Ya, so am I !! Thanks for the info. Someone told me that you need to go by the date on the back of the head, It's usually different than the date on the body! But he didn't have a date on his head so I assumed he was from 1968. I think they keep the same body's to a lot of these dolls, they just change the heads!
Exactly, Mattel just uses different head molds but they have modified a lot of the bodies, they own the copyright so I guess they can do whatever they want with them...LOL ;-)
