The tone is radiant and expressive and never finds a location on her wide range that is uncomfortable. Cantaloube's Chants D'Auvergne have been recorded by many famous artists, but Karina Gauvin somehow makes them her own. The style of singing makes them feel like warm folk songs, much the way Cantaloube intended. Yet she is able to sustain the long lines with utter ease and toss off the fast songs with graceful aplomb.

(2) "Spotlight on Guitar" featuring Manuel Barnueko, Konrad Ragossnig, William Matthews, & others playing: Albeniz, Paganial, Villa-Lobos, Granados, Vivaldi.
