Carambola, more commonly known as Star Fruit ( Averrhoa carambola) is a tasty fruit reaching from two to 6 inches in length, they are tasty and nutritious. They are tropical and can be grown in the Southern United States. Traditionally eaten like an an apple, they can also be put into salsas, salads, juiced or cooked with and jellied.
