It is very pretty. How far off the table does it stand? How large is it? Is the glass capable of hot/cold temp? Do you know any history? What is the bottom, metal part made of? Thanks in advance. I am very curious about this. lol

Base to top of glass 4" and glass is 6" round at top. Made of solid brass and is older. I believe it will hold warm and cold, it is glass. Bought it at an estate auction. Thanks for asking. Gerry
