These are actually called game Boy Advance games. The First Game Boy to be released was the Game Boy back in 1989. Nintendo then released the Game Boy pocket back in 1995, In 1998 Nintendo released the Game Boy Color which was backwards compatible with the original Game Boy games. The First Game Boy Advance came out in June 2001 & it was backwards compatible with Game Boy & Game Boy Color Games, The Game Boy Advance SP came out in 2003, that folded down like a laptop, & had a built in battery and a back light so you can play in the dark. in 2005, Nintendo released the Nintendo DS. The DS was backwards compatible with GBA games. in 2006, Nintendo released the Nintendo DS lite, which was a thin version of the DS, That was also backwards compatible with GBA games. In 2010, Nintendo released the Nintendo DSi, Which came with a built in camera. Then came the DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS & now we have the New 3DS.
