Puppy should be 8 weeks old to use Frontline. I worked for a vet for over 10 years and we did on occasion use it on pups younger if they were heavily infested but I would only recommend that under your vet's advice.

If your puppy has quite a few fleas, you may want to look into giving him/her Capstar. It kills all the fleas on the dog, but only works for 24 hours. It is extremely safe and can even be used on pregnant and nursing animals.

There's nothing you can really do to insure that your puppy NEVER gets fleas, you just have to stay one step ahead of the problem. Keeping Frontline or Advantage on him/her is definitely a start. If you do get fleas, you need to treat the dog, the yard, and the house all at the same time. You would then need to retreat in 2 to 3 weeks. Best to keep fleas from getting started. :)

To: My crazy life... <I fanned u> I'm glad that you have the coupon b/c its expensive for a small tube of it and some ppl cant really afford it. Its cheaper (in the long run) for ppl to get the bigger bottles of it if you have more than say 3 or 4 dogs. I'm an animal lover & I have lots of cats and dogs. (Mainly to living out in the country and ppl dropping their unwanted animals off in my yard..I've had ppl to drop off pregnant cats). I get all spayed &/or neutered, their shots up to date and worming..and try to give them away. Believe me, its hard to keep up with the food & vet bills but I manage to get it done... Everyone have a great day today and a better one tomorrow! AND PLEASE REMEMBER TO SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS SO THAT WE DON'T HAVE SO MANY EXTRA ONES ROAMING AROUND!! Theres already too many out there that has to be put down for no reason.. so plz spay/neuter... thx u..

I do know that if you have DAWN dish soap, you can wash your puppy in that. Its best to get the kind that has lemon or grapefruit.. the fleas hate that and it is safe for puppies and kittens under 8 wks of age.. You can even use it on older pets..you can bathe them every other wk.. You can also get garlic oil and put some in their food. But you dont want to over do it.. You can also look it up on the internet & find out the do's and dont's of lots of things pertaining to your pets health..
