This is Sri Lanka Moonstone! Very REAL and very Beautiful! Authentic....

Moonstone is a little tricky to photograph due to the brilliant glow and how it reacts with the flash. These are even way more beautiful and magical in person....

~6mm and 8mm Genuine Moonstone beads

MOONSTONE:

Moonstone almost seems magical with a ghostly shimmering glow floating in a crystalline material. The Romans thought that moonstone was formed out of moonlight. Moonstone is a variety of feldspar and the shimmer, which is called schiller or adularescence, is caused by the intergrowth of two different types of feldspar, with different refractive indexes. In Europe, moonstone is considered the birthstone for June, although in the United States it shares that distinction with alexandrite and pearl.

I am also a crystal healer. I have a moonstone ring that looks exactly like this moonstone. Plus I have dozens of loose moonstones. This is definately moonstone. Fanned ya and watching!

Plus, you have to be careful. A lot of moonstone jewelry out there is not truly Moonstone but rather composite or reconstituted Moonstone. Natural, good quality Moonstone comes from Sri Lanka, Madagascar or India.

There are many forms and grades of Moonstone, depending on where it comes from. It can even be yellow or totally blue. Then there is Rainbow Moonstone, which I love. Typically, you know you have good Moonstone if you can see through it. I work with both Opalite and Moonstone as a Crystal Healer and much more prefer Moonstone....the energy is so wonderful.

Hi, yep this is definitely Moonstone. Opalite and Moonstone are very similar but Opalite is a bit more milky. These Moonstone, in the light you can see right through them and see what is behind them through the other side. Hard to get good pics of these with a Flash.
