It is a mechanical killer, so they can't become immuned to it. It is prehistoric fossil shells of diatoms, at a microscopic level it's made up of sharp jagged edges that cuts the bugs up. Its also a drying agent so it dehydrates them as well. Its also good for cleaning silver tarnish, and can be used as a dietary supplement. Wow! i have had this stuff and you are so right! it is great for fleas. i put it in my gradens, on my chickens, my cats and dogsbut i best add always get the food grade. a person can actually ingest this and it wont hurt you at all! i mixed it with my dogs food and dont have to worry about fleas or deworming. this product is awesome. not a lot of people know about it but go to ebay and you find out more. diatomeousous earth! this product you wont regret getting. just be sure to get the food grade! good luck hon! this product is great!

Oh one more thing! dont let it get in the eyes. it tends to dries them out. forgive my typing tonight. i am very tired but had to add to you comments. wash hands ater you use it..it wll dry them out..i uws gloves.blessings everyone! marcy

Ya it does really dry your skin out! Your right about that and from what with I hear ingesting it, you really wanna drink lots of fluid cause it will dehydrate you as well! And yes always get food grade, I can't stress that enough, I forgot to add that to the description. Thank you for your comments, a lot of people don't know a lot about ur so in really trying to spread the word, cause or is truly amazing stuff!!
