I sure am. I'm finding it hard to find a local buyer. in the photo I have given the option of choosing one bottle. It was my first listing so I went about it wrong. I wanted people to see that i have more then one type.
Maybe since the bids are going so high(for the choice of 1 bottle), you could add another bottle at a certain point? Since it's kind of hard to see what all you have.... Looks like there are some nice ones. I'm a fan of bottles lol. Weird thing to like, I know.... :P
I love them too! How deep you go is up to you. We dig pretty much anywhere. it's hit or miss most times. But, where we are here in maine it's easy to gain access to old town maps. What you want to look for is riverbanks where early settlers dumped their trash and places where there used to be old houses . look for old bricks and debris. Back in the day people used to dump their trash into their "outhouses". So most likely if somebody lived in the spot you chose to dig, you are most likely to find a bottle or two. I find dishes, silverware, and all sorts of trinkets. Good luck to you and enjoy your findings! oh yeah, always remember safety first!
i love od bottles. I don't hae enough credits to bid. where do you dig for bottles? How do you know where ? how deep do you dig? I am interested in this for a hobby. I live in Arizona ...is this a good place to dig ? Where ever would I begin? Thanks.
We Have whiskey bottles. My boyfriend is going to go look in storage to see if we have any with those spacific names on them. I will let you know......
Sure thing. If you are talking about the tall skinny one it's a Healy & Biglows Kickapoo Indian Oil cork top bottle. Here's some info on it.. "HEALY & BIGELOW'S / KICKAPOO / INDIAN OIL" American medicine bottle from the 1890's. Round or cylinder shape, aqua, tooled top with round band and lower flare lip - smooth base, ht. 5 1/2 inches. Healy & Bigelow made a lot of bottles and each one was hand made, as were the molds they were blown into. These Bottle usually sell between $30.00-$40.00 usd. This bottle is not in perfect shape, it has oxidized because it was burried for so long.
How many do we get in this auction? are any of them marked as to what was in them? fanned and watching. also would you be willing to shorten the amount of days for the auction. i have a lot of credits now but as much as i spend on here that may not be the case in 6 days and i would love to have these for my collection
I have a couple of different colbalt blue poison one is a triangular Triloids cork top(still in it) the other is a six pointed star shaped with the original zinc top still on it. I also have an amber one and a couple more kicking around somewhere. A lot of my bottles have made their way to storage. As far a figural bottles, I don't really have any. Not many survived in the ground that i've seen. Only bits and pieces.
oh yeah just to throw it out there, if you are an avid bottle collector I have they following types of bottles: medicine, bitters, gin, flasks, ink bottles, master ink bottles, flavoring extract bottles, beer bottles, soda bottles, mini bottles, hand blown bottles, cork tops, mason jars (not for sale on here) wine bottles and many many more. All of different shapes, colors and sizes. But most of these bottles I cannot sell through this site.
Sorry for any confusion, but this bid is for a single bottle only.....choose one. the corked bottle in the back is already gone. Most have embossed writing on them and date back as early as the 1850's I'm trying to get rid of some of collection which has seemed to be more then i can handle. I am willing to ship through the mail in the us. I have tons more pictures i will post today
