Description

The listing, Five Mercury Dimes 2-1937 & 3-1936 one SF six Phillies has ended.

TWO are 1937 Mercury Dimes. Both 1937 Philadelphia Mint. THREE are1936 one is San Francisco minted and the other two are Philadelphia.

The wings on the head are in good shape as are the words 'IN GOD WE TRUST'.....
The small symbol to the right if her neck is visible.
On the reverse the fasces is worn down, a few intermittent vertical lines on one 1937, none on the other 1937. One the 1936's the San Francisco minted one has most vertical bands and one worn smooth horizontal band you can see.
The olive leaves are all distinguishable.
E PLURIUS UNUM is easy to read. I am not a grader, just have a few coins to offer.

Although most commonly referred to as the "Mercury" dime, the coin does not depict the Roman messenger god. The obverse figure is a depiction of the mythological goddess Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, a classic symbol of liberty and freedom, with its wings intended to symbolize freedom of thought. Designed by noted sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, the Winged Liberty Head dime is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful U.S. coin designs ever produced.[14] The composition (90 percent silver, 10 percent copper) and diameter (17.9 millimeters) of the "Mercury" dime was unchanged from the Barber dime.

Of particular interest to numismatics is the condition of the horizontal bands tying together the bundle on the fasces, on the coin's reverse. On well-struck examples, separation exists within the two sets of bands (known as Full Split Bands). Coins exhibiting this feature are typically valued higher than those without it.[14]

I just realized you said winner pays shipping and that you only accept paypal... so I guess I won't be making that insanely huge bid raise I was planning since I don't have paypal... unless you would consider covering the shipping...? either way, good luck to you =)

Sorry, the Post Office is not a favorite place to hang out for me......I don't know how to print my own postage without the link and I don't want to go on stamps.com for $15.00 a month! Not worth it. If you know another way.....
