While the publication date page is missing, there are 2 ads in the back that are dated 1904 and 1906, so guessing pub date around then. This book has been used and WELL loved! Needs a new home!

Written by Fannie Merritt Farmer, it's over 650 pages. Book is in poor to fair condition. All pages appear present except pub page but binding is disconnected in the front and needs repair or glue. The back is connected. Shown in the pictures are also 2 of the old fashioned ads, of which there are many, who were maybe sponsors for her book? The hard cover front & back are present and worn.

This could be a first 1896 edition since the first ed was printed in 1904 and the second in 1906. Since an ad is dates 1904 for a product, it could be a first and at most a 2nd edition. It was the best selling cook book of the era!

Pages - some are yellowed & tattered but present and whole. Just age and use shows here! A few torn out recipes from newspapers are added and also pencil written notes to an owner. One owner name on inside of back cover.

Lots of pictures, so please enlarge for details and write for questions. As of this listing, the book is pre-wrapped in cling wrap for safe passage! Will be box mailed with tracking! Mother's Day?
