Made just with the leaves, so they are dense, compact and more effective. The branches and woody stems of this herb plant do not hold the medicinal properties that are found in the leaves and blossoms, it defeats the purpose of including them into the smudge bundle. California White Sage has become a popular ingredient in smudge wands, teas, essential oil, incense, candles, scented beauty products, etc. It has become so popular in fact, that now it is considered endangered because people are breaking off vital parts of the bush or ripping the whole plant out of the ground, instead of harvesting and pruning them properly to maintain growth & longevity. All the herbs and sacred plants that I grow are lovingly taken care of and shown due respect. Commercially made or mass produced White Sage smudge wands only contain approx. 30-50% leaves. The smoke from burning the branches and twigs of the Sage plant is quit ineffective if used for the purpose of smudging.

The smoke from Sage and other herbs eliminates any past, present or residual negative energies that surround us. Clear away negativity, cleanse and purify yourself and your living environment.
