Questions & Comments
You can just toss cloth diapers in your washing machine. If there is poop in it, you can just shake the poop into the toilet (or swish in the toilet to get the big chunks off). The washing machine will take care of the little little stuff and get everything clean. The best routine for washing cloth diapers is rinse cold, wash HOT, rinse, rinse. 1st rinse is to get any little poop bits out of the diapers before you wash them. 2nd two rinses are to be sure all soap residue are out of the diapers. Residue can cause diapers to not absorb as much as they should. Also, I just wanted to note that this diaper is actually a "fitted" diaper not really an AIO (all in one). An AIO would have a layer of PUL for a water proofing layer to hold moisture in so it doesn't leak. Fitted diapers don't have any waterproofing material, which is best for letting baby's bottom air out. I personally really like fitted diapers, especially ones that are snappi-able. Helps keep baby from getting unnecessary rashes.
Thank you for the info on cleaning diapers. I would like to add that using vinegar in the rinse cycle really helps remove the soap residue. I do want to clarify that this is an AIO. The two layers of polyester fleece are nonabsorbent and serve as the waterproof outer. This is just as effective as PUL, but I find it softer and better for use with pins.
I did make it. And it is pretty girly. It's bright pink. I don't think you could put it on a boy without confusing some people, but everyone has different ideas about masculine and feminine.
