I do not know with certainty since I am not one who is savy enough to test stones or metals but being BHG, hopefully it is genuine. I assumed they always "did" something to put all that color in a topaz anyway. Do you they come out of the ground with that color? You might want to research it a bit. I saw this exact same ring on another popular buying website too and they just called it a mystic topaz gemstone. Well....hope that helps. You are a sweetheart ;D
