This is a complex question...it is a way of life, of thinking, being. One is naturally drawn to it...I have been since childhood..as has most of my family. We are Victorian/Edwardian Steampunk...there are also ones who like the fashion only or goth-steampunk, there are so many different paths. It might help if you research on the net. If you are really into it...we can just spot one another..naturally. There was this girl on here that listed a regular watch...some told her "Oh that is a watch, list it as steampunk." No, a watch is not steampunk...It is the type and style of watch. Let me find you link to as to one looks like...

This is a perfect example of a steampunk creation...this necklace is more of a gothic steampunk necklace. I just cannot imagin a lady not ever wanting to put on a victorian dress with the works..all the lace, garters, corsettes, bustle, the shoes..it is so funnnnnnn~
