Buttercrunch is a very popular heirloom Bibb type lettuce variety. This award winner is a solid producer of compact heads with broad green leaves that are thick and sweet and have a mild, buttery flavor. This variety is also heat tolerant and is slow to bolt. An excellent choice for the home gardener!

Plant seeds 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep.
Space 4-6 inch on center in rows, with 12-18 inches between rows.
For larger heads, 9-12 inches on center.
Can also be planted in late summer for a fall crop.
