Before I begin the last two pictures I downloaded off the internet this book is in mint condition minus on detail 4 front pages of the book are missing so I put in here so you can see what it did look like.

"The Complete Poetical Works of John Milton. With Life of the Author; and Dr. Channing's Essay on the Poetical Genius of Milton. Eight Engravings on Steel" (London and Halifax, Milner and Sowerby, 1867). Hardcover (red cloth boards with embossed borders and gilt title to spine), 537pp plus title / introductory pages, engravings (two of which form the frontispiece) and publisher's "Catalogue of Cheap Books", measuring approximately 11.7 x 17.5 x 4.1cm (4.6 x 6.9 x 1.6in). The inside front cover bears the signature dated dec24th 1878 the second is to Pamela all my love tony 1979. No dustjacket; there is hardly any ware to the cover. The pages are mint with the gold still shinning kept in a zip-lock. The binding remains firm and in great shape. This book because of the missing pages how ever years ago was told it diminishes the value still worth a lot.
