Questions & Comments
Just wondering. Your title states silver coin, Is it just silver colored? I do not see anything in pictures showing it is real silver or the .999 or .995 (sterling silver) that is usually stamped in a real silver coin.
Superiorfastcat: I just looked the coin up on eBay and the following description is what I saw. It called the coin "silver" but I examined the coin with a strong magnifier and saw nothing that would prove it to be a totally silver. I don't have the original packing material as the eBay coin has. Their buy it now offer is for 2 coins for $9.99-a coin of this size in silver would be a lot more just for the silver content alone. I'm guessing it is probably silver plated. I picked it up in a trade for a coin lot. Thanks for asking-I should have researched more & been clearer in the ad.
silver is $16.+ an ounce at present, but this is not pure silver, it would be stamped if it were, its a nice collectible coin if your a hockey fan. not to say that everything stamped silver is pure silver either, lots of con artists out there. best of luck with it
