Questions & Comments
Is this pre-printed or a hand-signed original autograph by Alec himself?
Does it have a Certificate of authenticity?
Where did you get it?
Been a Mets fan since 1966... Just off the top, I have a signed b&w photo of Tom Seaver pitching in the 69 world series and a signed AUTHENTIC Mets pinstripe jersey... Let's Go METS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, I am glad to be dealing with a Mets fan! On the topic of the autograph, I am not sure whether it is real. I am an autograph collector and often send letters to celebrities, sports stars, etc. I sent this photo to Mr. Allen asking for it to be signed. The same photo came back to me with the autograph in the photo. I'm not sure if Mr. Allen would mistreat his fans enough to give a fake autograph. It may be a stamp or written by a secretary. I believe it is real but can't guarantee it. It looks real and being fair to others, I wouldn't post it on Listia if I thought otherwise. Thanks so much for your interest.
Tim Allen is also an SFM client. I hate to say it but it looks like most of yours are preprints. Best thing to do is put it under a bright light and look at the signature from an angle. Most likely what you'll see is that the autograph is part of the picture.
I'd like to clarify something. This is NOT A PRE-PRINT!!!!! I SENT THIS TO MR. ALLEN. I have numerous autographs of his. It is not a stamp either. The tip of the "n" is smudged a bit proving it was written with real ink. Thank you. Good luck and happy bidding!!!
