This is a 3 1/2 inch Kanzashi Hairbow.Kanzashi is a technique used in Japan to make Geisha type hairpieces. The word kanzashi means pinched fabric. This is a technique we have adapted to make beautiful hair bows. It is very time consuming and complicated. Each petal of a flower is designed and made separately and later put together to create a flower. I love making them and I love sharing them with others. Just please note when I put a kanzashi up my starting bid will have to be higher than my other hair bows. For this I am truly sorry. I will keep it down for some of the simpler ones.
