Annual Matthiola bicornis, Also known as; Night Scented Stock, Evening Stock, gilliflower, night violets, and ten week stocks. Single, four petalled flowers are a pale lilac blossoms, with a powerful lily like perfume. The flower opens in the late afternoon to evening. The flowers are followed by long, slender seed pods. Used in moon gardens, planters, window boxes, hanging baskets, and flower beds. Plant seeds 1/8" deep. It's a cold resistant plant. Germinates in 7-14 days. The seeds germinate best below 60 degrees F. Sun to partial shade.
