The listing, Homemade FAIRY GARDEN KIT!!! If You Like to Garden, Craft... Check This One Out! has ended.

Here is a wonderful homemade kit for creating your own miniature Fairy Garden! Includes lots of cool stuff to get started. Everything is shown in the photos. This kit will be a fantastic craft for kids as well as adults!

You will get...

1. Organic potting soil
2. Green Reindeer moss
3. A Gazing Ball that I just created tonight
4. Ceramic pot to use for succulent plants
5. A Couple handfuls of pretty white rocks
6. Small Gemstones in neutral colors - can string these, they are actually beads.
7. Wish Upon a Star Charm
8. Secret Garden charm with beads attached
9. Some red wooden beads for accents
10. A few brown wooden beads - long ones, and neat circle designs
11. 20 craft sticks to make a wooden bench, fairy door, fence, or whatever you like
12. 5 Glitter glue sticks to decorate fairy doors or furniture
13. 2 green flat glass stones for accents
14 Small tube of miscellaneous beads (I think they are all glass) for decorations and accents
15. 9 round green marble stones (beads) to make a walkway or path
16. 9 black and white marble square stones (beads) to make more paths
17. A small bunch of some kind of natural seed pod I think, not sure what they are - but thought they would be useful decorations or accents
18. And what Fairy Garden would be complete without some magic fairy dust in a bottle?

The first 7 photos are just an idea I set up so you can imagine your own fairy garden taking shape. I wanted to show you how the pieces might work together. The potting soil is organic, but you can mix whatever you want with it depending on what kind of plants you want to use. Everything is in great condition, no junk here! Shipping will be priority with tracking number, FREE of course!

Although I am new to Listia, I will be following the rules. I am assuiming that you will do same. Please don't bid if your address is not verified with Listia, it only takes a second, and it's very easy to do! :-)

Thanks for looking, and happy bidding!

Thank you! I have been planning out how to make one over the winter, and thought I would share some of my supplies. It's spring in Ohio, but we just got hail and a little snow last night, so my gardening will have to wait a bit longer. :-)

This is a wonderful kit! The items you have added are just perfect! In the 13th picture, I recognized the seeds in the upper left corner. They are called Indian tears. Indian lore has it that during the Trail of Tears when the Cherokee tribes were forcefully marched from the east coast to Oklahoma to the reservations the government had set up for them, many of the Indians died along the way and many tears were cried as their loved ones were buried
all along the trail. Legend says that wherever an Indian tear fell, this plant would spring up. The Indians used the seeds as beads for their jewelry and to adorn their clothing and belongings. These seeds are hollow and have a natural hole through them for stringing. If you carefully pull out the little stems that you find on the pointed end of the seed, the 'stem will come out and open the seed so you can string them or put a needle through for sewing them onto something. I have never seen these anywhere before, except for the ones I find and collect here in Tennessee. The plant is more of a vine and is very hardy. If the seeds are new enough, you can plant them and grow your own. I just thought you might enjoy knowing the history of these wonderful seeds. Thanks so much for your auction! Blessings! FW&B

Wow Bobbiespinks! Thank you SOOO much for that information! I have always been a lover of native american stuff. One of my favorite pictures is one of me about 5-7 years old standing with what I think is a native Cherokee in the Smoky Mountains. I still have that picture, if I can find it I'll take a picture and add it just for kicks!

Now that I know what those are, I will be a lot more careful with them. Would one of the plants grow in Ohio? These must be pretty old. I got strands of them in a big box of wooden beads - the same wood beads included in the auction. I made the little gazing ball with one of the spool shaped beads, and a wooden "button" I guess you could call it. Just has one hole in the center of it.

I was going to make a mini birdbath today with one of the wooden spool beads and a shell, but haven't made it that far yet. :-) I am so glad you told me what those seeds are. If you find any that I might be able to plant and grow, please list one and I'll trade you some credits for it!

this is one fantastic auction. I think it is great that people are so willing to share their knowledge with others. Thank you bobbiespinks7 for the information. I live in Canada and I think this is a great start for any child to learn both about native culture and the spiritual way of fairies and all. both are intertwined. Will keep an eye on this one for sure

I make OOAK fairies, trolls, wizards, etc. This kit will be perfect to display some of them. My fairies always name themselves and let me know who they are. Wisteria was the last one I made. Wild, free as the flower itself. If I could upload a picture of her, I would show you. I don't think I can on this site. Thanks for listing an awesome kit full of ideas! You are a very creative thinker!

Oh wow, that's awesome! I was thinking it would be really neat to find a fairy to add with this auction. Haven't ran across one yet. :) I also want to create a miniature wizard shelf, is there a place I can see your wizards? Thanks so much for the kind words!

As for the lantern, you could use gold wire 18 or 20 gauge or a small zipper pull. For that fact you could use an earring wire.

Thank you, I'll try to make one when I get home. Out with the boys for baseball and trying to check in on the phone. All auction updates will be finished tonight though. :)

Shoot, I also added 20 more craft sticks, so you will have enough for a door and fence should you decide to make both. Those are pictured with the necklace, flower and lantern hook - but I forgot to mention it!
