The new laws in Texas go into great detail in order to differentiate spring assisted knives and switchblade knives. I want to be sure and clarify that SPRING ASSISTED KNIVES ARE LEGAL IN TEXAS!!! They are also legal in the rest of the United States.
I appreciate your concern and just wanted you to know that I did double check this information before writing this.

This is a spring assisted not a switchblade so don't flag the auction. Great auction

Thanks for correcting the user saying this is a switchblade. None of my knives are switchblades. All of the knives I post are cleared by Listia. I appreciate your help.

This one is spring assisted? I can't get it then ... not legal here. I would be very careful not to attract Listia's attention much. They have a very broad list of what a weapon is. Nice auction! Wish I could bid.

Oh heavens no! I wouldn't do that. It would really have to be bad. I have a set of throwing knives. So I wish I could acquire this know.

It is an assisted open stiletto and I have not found anything for any state in the United States that says this style knife isn't legal. I would like to know which state you say is different. I appreciate you commenting and I will definitely double check the laws in whatever state you are from once you let me know. If you are under 18 and that is why you say it isn't legal you would be correct. That is why all of my auctions clearly state you must be 18 to bid or win.

Butterfly knives, also called balisong knives, are legal.
Dirks, daggers, stilettos, and other stabbing knives are legal.
Throwing knives and throwing stars are legal.
Bowie knives and other large knives are legal.
Hidden knives like belt knives and lipstick knives are legal.
Undetectable knives (knives that do not set off metal detectors) are legal.
Switchblades, automatic knives, and gravity knives are illegal.
