The listing, Antique Vintage Pre - 1865 Knitting / Crocheting Kit with Original Box has ended.
OK ..This is Another That You May Be Able to Tell Me More About This Than I Can Tell You :( Someone Told Me That It Was a Sewing Kit, But It Clearly is Not. Looking at The Long Thing with the Hook at the End I Would Think That it Has To Do With Knitting or Crocheting, Also of Which I Know Nothing About! I Date This to be Some Time Before July 1865 Because of the Note (that Was Easy!). The Box is the Original Case.

Questions & Comments
The long piece with the hook is indeed a crochet hook, the other pieces are hors d'oeuvres forks.
Hi - TY for your input, always appreciated =(^.^)= It did however spur me to do more needed research. I have added a picture I found of a Display of knitting, tatting and crochet tools in a studio in Nantucket. If you look at the 'forks' in the bottom right corner they are the same type as are in my kit. I believe they are used to do some type of fine work like tatting, although they are still somewhat of a mystery to me. TY for the much needed incentive :)
No...if you read my last answer to another comment part of it is "I have added a picture I found of a Display of knitting, tatting and crochet tools in a studio in Nantucket. If you look at the 'forks' in the bottom right corner they are the same type as are in my kit. "...It is not included in this auction but thanks for asking!
Amazing collection. I have only 14 pieces from toothpicks to needles and crochet. I have a straight razor but the letter openers are what I have been looking for. Oh have a spoon too. Your the first collector I have seen on here. Thank you for pic, amazing collection. How long have you been collecting ? If you don't mind me asking?
Hi - Sounds like you know your stuff. Actually, it was given to me & I really didn't know too much about it. I'm still not sure just how old it really is, all I know is that it dates to sometime before the note. Best of luck, it should go to a collector. =(^.^)=
