Description

The listing, 1835 English Reader *Appraised @ ATL Antiques Roadshow $135* has ended.

I was going to sale this but decided to share it with my Listia friends instead. I took this to the Antiques Roadshow in Atlanta a few weeks ago and it was appraised for approx. value of $135. I got it several years ago at an old antique store that was going out of business. As you can see it is not in the best of shape but what would be at 176 yrs. old? There are even names of students written in the book and the yrs. they used it in school. I am running it for 9 days so you have plenty of time to build up credits! Please see photos and ask if you have any questions. FREE SHIPPING!

no I'm sorry but when you go to the taping for the Antiques Roadshow there are so many people with tickets you stand in lines for hours, when it's finally your time they look at what you have, give you a little background info, tell you their approx. value and then on to the next person. The only ones that they really take much time with are the ones picked to be on TV...but know one gets anything in writing. They did tell me about this little reader that it was originally printed in Europe and then later in the USA and that the org. printed one from Europe is worth several thousand dollars but even in this condition due to the age and he loved the kids writing in this one...with their names and dates they used it the value was between $135-$150 so I put the lowest value on here. Hope that helps :)
