Questions & Comments
How do you use this? Di you boil it with the roving?
Somehow my answer didn't get posted. Yes, you boil this, with or without the fiber. You can put it in a cheesecloth bag to keep the sticks and flowers from getting in the fiber, as that makes quite a mess. Or you can boil it first to extract the color and then put the fiber in it. The longer you boil it, the darker the yellow color. As it cools it transfers the color to the fiber. Hope this helps. -Ann
Yes, it is boiled, with or without the fiber. Once way, once it's cooled, you can strain it then put in the fiber and heat it again. or, if you like, you can put it in a mesh/cheesecloth bag in with the fiber and boil it. That keeps the sticks and flowers from getting in the fiber. That would be a mess...;) The longer and hotter it gets the darker the color. -Ann
