This book came to me I don't know how but it did not have the front cover when I got it. Don't know why people insist on brutalizing perfectly harmless books! But anyway, I read this book twice, it's so good! But as I have so many others on my shelf which I have not read yet, and there being no room for others, well, what else can I do but part with a few of them to make room for others?

This story is about a poor orphan who has the further misfortune to fall desperately in love with scandalous marquis who happens to be betrothed to her cousin. Oh, bother!

Paperback, 382 pages long and except for the missing front cover it is intact with no torn or missing pages.

This comes from a smoke free home with one older kitty who doesn't care to read much.
