Description
The listing, PATTERN for a child's coat, mittens and bear. has ended.
Lista would not let me upload a pic so if you want a pic email me. This is a PATTERN for a childs coat you can make out of a piece of material 24" X 60" for a size 4 to 6. You can upsize or down size easily. Its very easy and would be a good project for someone who likes to sew for charity's or foster kids. I also have mitten pattern also very simple and a bear pattern I will include. If you know a kid that needs a coat MAKE HIM ONE! You could easily make these out of old sweaters or used coats from the thrift store. Patterns will be email to you as soon as the auction ends. I don't expect a lot of bids on this and will list it again. Would love to hear someone made a few of these and gave them to needy children!
Questions & Comments
Sounds like a great idea. I am making a ton of different children's costumes for a small ballet company. We are on a shoestring budget and I could use any ideas that I can adapt to make inexpensive costumes. :)
This coat pattern is so easy. There are so many kids in need in the winter of nice coats. I will email this pattern to anyone that asks. I also will be happy to answer questions on how to sew it. It has good instructions and is basicly made out of a solid piece of material. There are no pieces to cut out. Pretty clever pattern!
Making things for 40 kids? What are you doing? Do you need help? Foster kids or your class? My family is very pro foster kids and I am a CASA. Would be willing to help any way I can.
Aw thanks. No, I am just doing costuming for our small children's ballet company. We always need costumes of all types, including regular street clothes costumes, for our ballet. We are working with United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona in order to integrate both special needs and typical children together in ballets; so that all children can perform on stage. Last April, we did Peter Pan. There were typical children, like my son who played Captain Hook, as well as special needs children, like our Peter Pan who happened to be in a wheel chair. It was a wonderful performance; the kids were wonderful! :)
I'm making clock costumes :) They are like those old advertising sandwich boards, covered in gold fabric with a felt clock face and a pendulum, that the children can wear. The ballet is October 8, so I can't wait to see the children in them. :)
