Description

The listing, Metal Sign advertising FAIRBANKS Gold Dust Washing Powder has ended.

This is a metal sign advertising FAIRBANKS Gold Dust Washing Powder. It is a 3D sign. It is so cute. And can you believe washing powder 5¢. There is a little rust at the bottom left . But anyone that collects this type of sign will know how to fix it. There is a tiny hole at each corner. It measures 9x12 inches.
Questions & Comments
Original
Yes, that does help. The Desperate Co. was founded in 1987 and produces primarily reproduction signs. Considering the Fairbanks Powder was produced from the late 1800's to the 1930's, I think its safe to say this sign is a repro. That being said, it's still a nice sign and worth at least 9999 Listia credits. But had it been an actual Fairbanks sign, you would be looking at a credit goldmine. I hope my comment didn't damage your listing, I just wanted to know the whole story behind the item. I wish you luck on this.

No I don't. In the bottom corner it says Desperate Sign Co. Wadsworth, O. If that helps any. Thanks for asking.

I don't know you but I find this offensive. They stopped using the gold dust twins in the 50"s because it is racist.

I believe you and this is a collectors item. I was just reading about the gold dust twins and found out the information. I think the picture is racist but I don't think you are.
