The listing, PLEASE make me beautiful again! has ended.
I'm having a hard time letting this go but I've realized that holding onto it for this many years isn't good either. This was once a Swarovski necklace that belonged to my Great-Grandmother in the 30's. It was a gorgeous necklace that I remember playing with as a child. Her box of costume jewelery was left to me when she died and somehow this piece broke and scattered. I am not a jewelery maker in the least and the beads have just been sitting in a box for years. The pendant is intact and is exactly 3inches in length and quite hefty for a necklace! Pain was gain back then I suppose!
The only thing I ask of the winner is to please send me a picture of your finished product if you do re-store this in some way. I'd love to see it looking glorious again!
I strive to maintain my rating here on Listia! If there is something you see wrong or there is a problem with the auction........PLEASE let me know right away! I always ship out within 7 days of the auction ending and will maintain constant communication with you until you recieve your product!
Happy Bidding! Please Enjoy!

Beautiful, thanks for sharing.. fanned and watching
Quite welcome! I can't hold on to something that someone else may be able to put to use again. My Granny would hate that I was keeping it all broken up.
Unfortunately, I don't know if it can be restored to the original necklace as I'm sure that these are not all the beads. The original necklace was quite long(The pendant was meant to hang past the chest). I'm sure that whoever broke it, scattered some of the beads and these are what they found(I have 3 children and a daughter who likes to sneak into my jewelery. Of course none of them have a clue as to what happened).
That's a shame but it could still be made into something similiar I believe. I know the feeling as I have 3 I don't know's and it wasnt me's as well. lol
If you want to keep this I would be willing to string it back together for you if you provided me with a good picture of it. Just saying. If you are wanting to just give it to someone else to use that is fine also. Just sad thinking that you are getting rid of this.
Unfortunately I don't have a picture of this necklace other than what I posted and as long as it was, I highly doubt all the beads are there to reconstruct it. Thank you for offerring though! That's really nice of you! It took me a long time of holding on to it but, in reality, I think I'd like to see someone else enjoy it and make it into something useful. I have a lot of her costume jewelery (including the matching earrings, brooch and shoe clips that go to this necklace) to remind me of her. It also makes me think that I'm spreading a little of her taste and style around!
Just to give everybody an idea of what kind of lady my Granny was.........I have a whole drawer full of this kind of jewelry. This is just one of the pieces. She was pretty dang stylish and elaborate in her day! She owned a speakeasy in the Chicago area during Prohibition and I even got to keep all of her bar glasses from that, too! They weren't even plain either! They're extremely elaborate too!
