This is a lithograph from an original oil painting by JC McLeod. This is a shrimp boat named the Alvera C on a foggy day. The print sells for $35 in my catalog. Thank you - this one was from a commissioned painting. The owner of the shrimp boat commissioned my father to paint it and, while he was painting it, so many people in the area saw it and asked him if lithographs would be available, he got permission from the painting owner to have lithographs made! We live very near Bayou La Batre, a small "fishing town," where shrimping and fishing are the livelihood of most of the population. Bayou La Batre, along with my hometown, Grand Bay are two of the small towns that were devastated by the BP oil spill because fishing/shrimping is such a huge industry here.
