One of my favorite winter squashes. Squash is a southwest heirloom from the Hopi native Indian people. 10lb round, football shaped fruit have a pale grey rind that is very hard. Fruit has a dark orange flesh that is sweet and dry. Very large long running vigorous vines and produces loads of fruit in about 100 days. Great Squash for storage, I have stored one for over a year in my pump house and it was still nice and firm not half rotten. If they freeze they do rot fast. This is a Great squash for long term food storage. We like them in pies and soup. All my vegetables are raised as organically as possible and the seed is saved by me.
