It will definitely activate on Cricket but only way to get it back activated on Sprint is to reflash it back to Sprint. You can't do either or because the phone can only be programmed one way unless you get it completely unlocked to work on all CDMA carriers.
And you are right, it wouldn't cost that much to get it reflashed to Sprint. You just gotta take it back to Cricket and I am sure they would do it for whatever it cost to flash it in the first place.
No, don't get me wrong! This is a great deal for a great phone! I just didn't want you to receive negative feedback if someone won and tried to get it activated on Sprint and couldn't because you didn't know. Just trying to help.
That's sort of my question. Say if I won the phone and I already have a cricket account. What would I need to do to get the phone put on my account in place of the phone I use now? Would I get to use all the services the phone has or would flashing it cause me to lose some of the services the phone offers? Thank you!
If you want to use it on your cricket account you can. You will only have texting and calling. But if you get it fully flashed then you will have all the features of the phone.
You can go to any place that sells used cell phones. Like those places in the mall that sells cases and phones. Cost me only 20 to get it partially flashed. It will be bout the same for full flash
Well thats what they told me. It cost me ten dollars to get it flashed for cricket so if it has to be flashed back to sprint for whatever reason it wont cost much. Would you rather buy the phone brand new or pay ten dollars to get it flashed and get the phone free?
Yea my phone was used on Sprint before it was partially flashed to metro pcs. Sprint customer service told me the same thing until I went to activate the phone! It won't activate. I am just letting you know before someone wins and tries to get it activated. You have to flash it back to Sprint for it to be activated back on Sprint.
This phone was already activated on sprint before the flash to cricket. And when I called sprint before I even put this phone up here they said there would be no issues setting the phone up on a sprint contract. I wanted to mak sure so everyone knew it could be used for either or.
If you use it for cricket you will only have texting and calling until you get it fully flashed to cricket. But if you use it for sprint you will have everything the phone has.
