Description

The listing, Hand Made Log Cabin Cedar Wood Bird Feeder For Patio, Deck, or Post has ended.

This is a hand made solid cedar ipswich pine stained log cabin birdfeeder. The pictures below are of the actual feeder. This feeder has two porches for the birds to feed out of and it measures approximately 17" length x 11" width x 10" height (without the post attachment). These are handmade little logs that are specially cut and designed for each individual feeder. At the bottom of the little porches there are small holes covered with a wire mesh for drainage. The wooden piece at the top of the roof is to cover the hinges and can be removed when filling. One portion of the roof is pin nailed down but the other half lifts up for easy filling and cleaning. There is a double ramp built inside the feeder so the seed will freely flow into both porches. The windows and the door openings to the porches are made out of plexiglass, so you can easily see when the seed is low. This auction is for the birdfeeder only. For our own feeders we usually use a 4x4 pressure treated post. I also included a picture of multiple finches feeding at one of our own feeders. Tip: Use safflower seed instead of wild bird seed to enjoy the little birds and the squirrels don't bother it as much. Enjoy!

We have sold these on ebay for $80.00 + shipping, but I wanted to try one on listia. If it goes well, we may be making more to put on here.

Winning bidder to pay shipping cost. Sorry no negotiations as we are already taking a loss on material and labor costs to make these.

Shipping is to be paid through Paypal Only. No checks or cash. For safety to the bidder and the seller. At the end of the auction, the winner will need to provide their paypal address so that I can send them a bill for shipping. Shipping cost: actual cost to ship plus enough to cover the paypal charge. Shipping weight: about 9 lbs., size is 18x12x11, from 44270 if you would like to calculate the shipping cost. Thank you for looking.

missed the answer to my question on the last one.Is the wood treated for types of weather?
Thanks

Here was the answer from the last one from what my husband said. It is stained and also has a natural finish as the logs are cedar wood. I know our own feeders have gone through 3-4 winters and are still doing well. My husband said eventually you may need to treat it with another coat of stain.

Sorry, ran out of space in the description. My husband makes these and every log is cut individually and then he cuts a chamfer in the logs to make it look realistic. There is a lot of time put into these feeders, but he loves it.

For this auction we have added an attachment piece on the bottom to make it easier to attach to a 4x4 post. If you would rather not attach to the post, it is held in place with 4 square drive screws that you can remove.

Also, for the shipping: Shipping cost is the actual cost (rounded to nearest 50 cents) by weight and size plus paypal fee (this is 2.9% of total + 30 cents) and 19 cents for the tracking number. I will ship USPS with your choice of either Priority Mail or Parcel Post. I can also include insurance if you would like. The insurance cost would be an additional $2.50. Thank you for looking.

2500 is worth like 250 bucks in credit terms. Do you know how much the shipping was for the last one you guys sold on here?

Original
It cost $14 something and that was including insurance, but it will be different depending on where it is shipping to. It was worth $250 in credit terms, but unless you buy credits that doesn't mean much because a $10 gift card on listia I have seen go over 2000 credits. You can build credits pretty quickly if you place a lot of auctions on here, so people bid really high on some items.

I did not have enough points last time to win this and gave up. What did the last one go for in points? I have been building credits up waiting for another one to be listed. Yeah! Can't wait to bid on this and hopefully win.

Hope you will be able to bid. The last one went for about 2500 credits. We were hoping for more since there are a lot of hours put into these, but we decided to list another one and see what happens.

I am not sure why it is doing this but when I hit submit it puts a space between the jp g at the end of the link. Copy and paste the link and make sure you remove the space between the p and g and the picture will show up.
