One of the most exquisitely patterned China Pinks, Velvet 'N Lace is also one of the most fragrant! The fully double blooms are stacked several layers high, displaying their lacy white edges and rich, deep red (nearly black) petals to full effect on neat, carefree 12-inch plants. They bloom all summer, perfuming the air with a clove-like aroma. For best effect, plant them near a door or walkway--or in patio containers for up-close enjoyment!
Start seeds indoors in late winter or in the garden after danger of frost. Dianthus likes full sun and well-drained, gritty soil.

I grew up with the bushes of white and also pink ones, and after mom died even tho things were to be split the estate sold and split by courts but no instead my sibs took everything! All I got from a large estate that was part mine on the deed with my 3 other sibs and mom had living rights until death. Well I do live the furthest away and always have since I left home, Ok never mind so sorry! These are lovely and I can hardly wait to see my gardens this year!!! Have a fantastic auctions!
