I'm almost 100% sure that it is a wind-up watch. It still has a piece of plastic between the stem and the watch body. I do not see a place on the back to insert a battery.

@timfordjr-I do not know the wristband size on this, it is adjustable(with the pins, like most of these watches). I will try to measure it when I get home today and get back to you. Thanks.
