It's been watched twice and is in perfect condition. It's "unrated". I don't think it's widescreen.

"Fire on the Amazon is a cheesy but effective drama set against the ecological disaster of South America's disappearing rain forest. As these tropical-topical movies often go, the story is told through the adventures of outsiders, a cynical photojournalist (Craig Sheffer) and a dedicated activist (Sandra Bullock), both from America. After initial skirmishes, the good-looking pair find themselves immersed in a growing war between a corrupt army and an organized, well-armed resistance mounted by indigenous people. The film's notorious if rarely seen erotic interlude, both in its R-rated and unrated versions, is hardly perfunctory. Fire on the Amazon was originally made in 1990 and its release was delayed several years, finally prompted by Bullock's rising stature in Hollywood. She's actually quite good in it, as is Sheffer, and their respective fans would probably enjoy the actors' performances". --Tom Keogh

Ok, I did some research (googled it) and found out that the male actor does swear alot. I don't know the specifics of what he said....but there's your warning.

I know you said that you don't think it is widescreen, but that is hard to determine. Almost every case has an indication. Should be somewhere on the case. It is often in small lettering on the back side near the bottom. Should list it as either full screen 4 x 3 or 1.33 to 1. Or as widescreen 16 x 9 or 1.85 to 1 or 2.35 to 1 or 2.40 to one. Often referred to as Anamorphic Widescreen. I would appreciate it if you looked again. Thank you. Jim

Jim, this one is so low budget there is hardly any information on the back of the case. The lower left corner only has "Under license to Mondial, Distributed by DEP 2003. The movie was filmed in 1990 but not released until 1993. I've looked up copies on Amazon and they all say "Fullscreen".
