The listing, HORSE& CARRAGE/ PENCIL SHARPNER 1970,s has ended.
this is a 1970,s era pencil sharpner of a horse and carrage , it is in very good shape and i dont believe it was very use for a pencil sharpner , and has been kept in a glass cabinet for over 30 years , it is 3 in long and 1 1/4 in tall and 1 in wide ,and the magnet does not up it up .
If you please, is it plastic or possibly cast iron? It appears to be iron, but I can't tell for sure. I did not notce what it is made of in your description; if I overlooked, then sorry! I'm over 70 years old, and when I was in school, we all had something similar to this one and it was made of iron. NO pencil sharpeners in those days! Thank you and good luck!! F&W&B jcmath1
the wagon part is some type metal that the magnet does not pick up the cover on the wagon is a hard plastic , and the wheels are metal , the spokes are metal also on the wheels , the bottom of the wagon is metal but the sharpener part is part metal part hard plastic , hope this helps
i,m so sorry when i responded to jcmath i said the cover was plastic , i thought she was asking about the covered wagon i have on here also , this one is entirely metal no plastic on it , the wheels are metal the coach part is metal and the horse is metal , the sharpener part is part hard plastic and part metal , sorry for the confusion
Hi there: I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who gets things mixed up on Listia!! It is so unique and simply adorable. I will bid again before the auction ends; and give "super-speedy" a run for his credits! By the way, I am a HE, my wife is afraid when it goes to the high credit bidding, but I, on the other hand, consider it a challenge!! Thanks and good luck! Kindest Regards, JIM
well jim , i try to be s honest as i can be on here and my memory inot what it use to be that is for sure , listia has en a real blessing to us we have been do sizing ad some of our item are smalland yojust cant sell them at garage sales an get more then a few cents for them this has been a way for us tget id of what the kds dont want make a litlle doing it , then i use my points to get the grandkids thing or maybe a gift card , it really helps , thanks for all the comments ,
Hi again! Thank you for saying that, because I used to be on eBay, and it was very slow; people would hassle over prices. I told my wife "Forget this." Then we found Listia. I thoroughly enjoy it. Most of the people are very nice; but occasionally you run into 2 or 3 old grouches. I am 74 and my wife is 68, and we do the same as you, look out for our 5 grandchildren for gifts. Thanks again! Jim
