Questions & Comments
This is a gorgeous and stunning piece of jewelry! To my fellow Listians it hurts my heart to read such rude and demeaning comments, esp toward a giver. It is just nice to be nice, respectable and supportive. We all should want Listians to get highest credits. Then they can bid in our auctions. More persons like myself over the past yr have told me how Listia sellers have helped them. This piece touches my heart because my great-grand father gave me one just like it and a student stole it from me. He like many here on Listia only want it for the melt-down value. And will say and use any means necessary to block this sellers potential bidders. It is unjust, unacceptable and should never be tolerated. This seller is owed some apologies and I for one would love to see them. If we all knew the power in our words, this ListiaCommunity has blessed me and given me more than I could have ever imagined in a short time. And every week I receive testimonies of this happening to other on Listia. So please let's show Sandraderry some loving FYI, respect, community, fan and human kindness. She deserves it for sharing such lovely, GOD-given talent, created jewelry with us. Thank You and Good Luck to Everyone here!
Well..God bless you gezus57!! I wasn't expecting any rude comments when I posted...I want to thank you and all my fellow Listians for your strong support, it is so much appreciated..may all of you receive a huge , bunch of credits for your kindness! = )...well that is what my intentions are and what I will pray for..this is a great site and you all are wonderful to interact with and get to know..God Bless you!!
((((Hi Sandra)))) I love this ring! I have a few freinds that creates jewelry by melting down precious metals and turning them into something new & beautiful. These items will not feature markings such as .925, 14k, Bali, or other well known metal markings. Instead it will feature an artist mark. I'm sure the crown, is the artist signature for your lovely silver & turquoise ring! Metal can always be tested for quality. I'm sure the gold in Fort Knox is not label 24kt on each bar...LOL
Thank you enchanted cove!I am not a silver smith, so I don't know all the markings a jewelry designer or should I say designers put on their work...I do know this piece is STUNNING..so bid awayyyyy!! LOL
This is beautiful!!! It does have some features similar to Navajo older watch cuffs in the design of the silver and some features like Mexico artist in using chunk turquoise that isn't smoothed down on it's table or top. I don't think that trademark is a crown, i believe it is the artist trademark which could be a fetish , kind of looks like a frog. either way it is a beauty, watch out Toni got eyes on it too!!!
Thank you so much Hope!I am frankly not sure who the artist is or how to go about finding the artist..anybody know how to do that? That stamp is the only way to find out! You are a doll Hope I appreciate your VERY NICE comment! = )
Odd, your listing doesn't say "Native American", just "native". Native what? New Mexico native, Arizona native? I'm a Tennessee native myself, and I've made some jewelry in the past. And although I have the "right" to say it's Native American, I just always said hand made. Looks like you're being fussed at for nothing, Sandra.
Thank you very much! I know Native Americans are very sensitive about their heritage...I wish we could all just live in peace...Great Spirit created us all equal. It's such a waste of time and energy to get into an argument over NATIVE anything! Nobody owns this earth...except God above.
Enchanted..may you be blessed and blessed and blessed....I am truly overwhelmed in gratitude for ALL that you have done for me and you have a beautiful spirit..you are a gift!= )
Hahahaha! 'Excuse me for ruffling your feathers'!!! That is priceless!
I am half Native, and I use the term 'Native'. Common sense dictates 'Native' means native to the country where the person is. That hatchet job was uncalled for.
Recently, I sent a terse message to someone who had outbid me (pms...), but I later apologized and asked the seller to remove the remark. What you're offering is of much value. I wish I had the credits to bid. You hang tough!
Very pretty ! I fanned you . Noone should be rude to anyone on here . Why even say anything if it's going to be mean ? I like it and my husband is Indian ( Native American ) he would not be offended by this at all .
I know from my own experience that when you try to polish something that isn't silver, it will turn black. Silver polish or solution will only clean real silver. Hang in there Sandra. I may just bid on this in a few days when I rack up some credits. It's beautiful!
Yes that has been my experience too Sene...I am hanging because i KNOW what I have here..I stand by my TRUTH! This is the REAL DEAL! I fanned you also..great Listian and person. = )
No, but my friend Enchanted cove does..she makes jewelry = ) I am sure she would be more than happy to help you...as there are a lot of jewelry designers on this site, there is somebody that knows how to do it!Fanned you also!
This is very pretty! I don't understand how to use it though? It is sad that some people have to be so rude. Glad you didn't take it off. Your post clearly does not say native american, but as for the sensitivity, it is actually illegal to sell something saying it is native american made if it is not or without proof. My boyfriend is native american and we attend pow wows and art shows at the Indian College near us. I have picked up quite a bit of information over the years lol But there was no reason for someone to attack you instead of just politely offering information.
This is a mans watchband, or maybe a womans if she so desires..it doesn't have the watch face in it..you would choose your own watch to put in it.Thank you! = )
Gezus57>>><<<wished i'd thought up that name (*.*) gezus>>people>>"it's free" and "free shipping" really ??? give the lady a break..for not wording every little detail>>to ur spec's...get a life >> go find and hassle people who are >>actually on here to rip people off>>there are enough to keep u busy for quite awhile, leave people who are just wanting to "share"---> "for free" something beautiful....thank you sandraderry >>bid/liked/fanned/watching....(*.*) come on people "bidder up"
There are people who make derogatory remarks hoping to keep the bidding low. That way they can sweep in at the end of the auction and get a gorgeous (fill in the blank) for many less credits after having scared some off from bidding when they attack the seller. I think it is pretty obvious when they are trying to pull that scam and unfortunately there are those who would believe the postee instead of the postor! Just a few words to the Listians who would are the recepients of that tactic....noli illegitimi carborundum. Or my own take on that phrase: noli turkey-butts carborundum. (Never leared how to say turkey butts in latin)!!! And as for the "crown" inside the watch band....when I look at it, I see Santa with his hands up looking like he is conducting an orchestra and is ready for the downbeat. It could be an upside down mushroom with training wheels? I'm sure those analogies are straight out of my head, but really folks...Since when do we jump someone, as if they are trying to pull something if they misspell a word (ie:) leave the "U" out of Turquoise. Well, come to think of it...that's a dead give away the piece can't be real...you left a letter out of a word. Read the latin again and apply it to your situation. I know someone is going to give this piece a really good home! And then they can decide if the marking is a Santa, a mushroom or a _____________. Sorry, started rambling there. Fanning you for support...and you have a lot of it~
gorgeous - stunning work of art! And, most definitely looks like an Artisan's mark which is common on Native-made jewelry pieces. Ignorance brings about negativity, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing a beautiful piece of jewelry, which you are generously giving, TOTALLY, for FREE!
I made jewerly during my years in art long ago in college and the crown does look like a craftsman's stamp. Don't let people get under your skin because they don't know their axe from a tommyhawk.
now, aren't you glad you stayed in?! most Listians are awesome:) beautiful piece...will fan u if I haven't/fan me? God is good & good people are rewarded for their "putting up with's" (how do you like that phrase?) others stuff..LOL
