Description

The listing, **LIVE PLANT CUTTINGS.. 3 rooted Swedish Ivy cuttings!** has ended.

This Swedish Ivy is beautiful and easy to grow into a huge plant (as in photo 1; The 2nd photo is of the rooted cuttings I have started. Plant them in a small container and as it grows and the stalks lengthen, snip off pieces to put in water to root. Before you know it you'll have lots of rootings to put together into a larger pot, and just keep adding to it. It may take a few months to complete this process, but they are worth it. They like it sunny, but not too much direct sunlight. They have thick stalks as they grow, so they don't need to be watered as often as some house plants. In the summer I have a hanging one that I put outside on my porch (out of direct sunlight) & it loves it! When it's really hot & dry outside, you might want to water it more often, just keep checking the dirt, if its really dry, then water. As with all house plants, each one has it's own needs & you just have to keep an eye on them to know what they need. As with all living things, if you take care of it....it will flourish! Thank you for stopping by my auction. These will be shipped wrapped it a damp paper towel; then in a sealed plastic zip lock bag, then in a small box marked 'fragile' & 'live plant' . If it should arrive damaged, I will not refund credits as the post office is the one's who damaged them. Hopefully by the time this auction ends, there will not be any chance of freezing. Had that happen last year, when the post office left it sitting in a sorting facility for over a week. Any questions please feel free to ask in the comment section. (sorry for the long winded description, but I think it is necessary to explain things, I LOVE my plants & want them to go to someone who will cherish & care for them with the same attention given any living thing!)Thank you again:)

my husband bought me one of these few months ago & I have an irish ivy also.....but while house hunting last month , we found a house with a cauldron sitting on either side of the driveway & had 2 kinds of ivy potted in them obviously they left them out year round & by the time I seen them we had just had our last frost & they were doing great---nice & green & full of life.....so would these ivy's do good outside year round then ????

I don't think so; the only kind of ivy i know of that lives outside all year round is the regular ivy that has dark green leaves and is a 'crawler'; like the ivy you see sometimes on houses with stone exteriors. As far as my experience goes, this type of ivy likes it indoors unless, as I do, you put them outside in the summer. Hope this helped. I'm not too much of an expert on outdoor plants, actually, I'm not an expert at all LOL:) I just have had houseplants for many, many years. :)
