please grade yourself..this is for the coin that is on the left side ONLY. in the pics with 2 coins.i did this to show you the different color that it is..i do not know what it is but its NOT copper..at least i dont think it is..its a very light color its from 1944 its a wheat cent.its a nice coin(i will NOT spend almost 4.00 to ship it with a tracking number if you want a tracking number then you can pay me for it otherwise it will be shipped free for you)my reciept and detailed records will prove it got sent out.will only ship to usa and listia verified users..im a very honest seller and buyer and i hope you would be to thanks

There is a difference in the metallic composition. For the years 1944, 1945 and 1946 the mint recycled shell casings from ammunition that was used in WWII and minted cents out of them. They are still primarily copper but the other metals are a little different. I hope this helps to explain why the appearance is different.

oh..ok..i dont know much about the coins..i just know pennies are made of copper..lol..so when it looks different than a normal copper penny to me it looks strange..its bright i can say that and doesnt actually look like copper,,so i dont know how the metals are or whats used in them..i compare them to the penny thats in the pics next to it..and it looks really different.but i do understand what you are saying..and thank you
