The listing, Hp Laptop has ended.

This laptop still works and you can upgrade it to windows 7. The keys don't stick and they are all in great working order. I never got around to upgrading it because I had bought a new one and had actually forgotten I had this one. It was stored in a box in my closet

I gave the spec early in the comments and I have just recently upgraded a windows 98 to windows 7 ultimate and upgraded the ram and added a eternet to it. All software programs I loaded including Dragon Speech has had no issues. I use to work for HP in tech support so I am well trained on what can and cant be done with an older version laptop or desktop. But if you as a civilian not an HP worker. may not understand how to upgrade it let alone know that it can and does work

yes Because I loaded the Dragon Speaking program on another laptop I upgraded and it ran it. That is why I am so confident that this one will also work

margiemclendon that's nice that you work on computers. Anyone can put a few items in a computer at home. I worked for Hp and I know the system and how the motherboard etc all works, I can rebuild a complete Tower from ground up. You don't know me so don't call me dishonest. I am very honest in all of my selling of items and my life. This is an older model laptop and no you cant make it a brand new computer but you can upgrade Windows, that is just a software program that you can buy and install. If you couldn't upgrade windows from a software program. Microsoft wouldn't have the software disk on the market for sale.

I will take a picture of the other laptop with windows 7 to show you it does operate and work on it. You have to reformat the drive and build a new partion to make it work correctly. I wouldn't block you for your opinion but I don't like being called dishonest when I am totally honest on all of this. My ratings of 100 percent will prove that. no its an older model lap top before the days of wifi. It has a modem like a 56k modem but can be upgraded to a eternet type net LOL

you can add more memory/ ram, update from windows 98 to windows 7 by reformating the hard drive and creating a new partion. I upgraded another laptop I had and put windows 7 ultimate on it

it has 64 mbs of ram and is upgradeable it has two slots for memories so I would think you could upgrade it to 512mbs

its an old laptop from 98 they are no longer supported by HP Support so it may be hard to find this model number any longer and that is the correct model number for that year. I am selling it as a laptop that is upgradeable. The windows system of 98 is no longer supported

it does have a cd player with it and it has outlook express 1998, microsoft word and works with it

yes the charger comes with it. It is Windows 98 SE 6440c. 64 mb of Ram. Modem no Eternet but can be installed

I actually prefer windows 98 cause of the DOS but it isn't compatible with a lot of program software now days.
