This Auction is for a Semi-Precious Snowflake Obsidian Gemstone Crystal Skull. This Auction is for a Semi-Precious Tiger's Eye Crystal Gemstone Skull. This is made from a piece of Hematite and is polished into a skull. This beauty measures 1" tall by 3/4" deep by 1/2" wide.

Now I know that we tend to have negative feeling about skulls but from the Mayans/Incans to the Egyptians it is a symbol of wisdom and honoring the Wisdom past from our ancestors.

This SNOWFLAKE OBSIDIAN is volcanic in origin, Snowflake Obsidian helps to draw emotions to the surface and to examine harmful thought patterns. Snowflake Obsidian promotes a sense of calm and inner centering which readies one for a deep meditative state.

Physically, Snowflake Obsidian is associated with the skeletal and vascular systems, and is said to support smooth skin.

In general, Obsidian is a very grounding and protective stone. It is used as a great cleanser of negative energies, helping to remove not only negativity experienced in the environment, but also that of one's own emotions, such as anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, etc. Obsidian is often used for healing and releasing energy blockages, and has a tendency to work quickly to move truths to the surface to be resolved.

I absolutely love this piece. I have about 4 of them already, but most are the fluorite(I spelled that wrong lol) and snowflake obsidian is for my zodiac sign. I wear a snowflake obsidian stone bracelet at all times along with the fluroite, rose quartz, turquoise, and amethyst. I know that's a lot of bracelets but they all have their special properties I get to carry with me everyday. This would be perfect for me!! Fanned watching and bidding!!

Aluuna, I don't know if you've noticed, but your 1st paragraph above is extraordinarily confusing. I didn't see any mention of this in your description, but in the comments, you state "These are very delicate work that take me forever to make these...", does this mean that you personally did all the shaping and carving done for this skull? If so, that's extraordinary! What kind of tools does it require to carve a substance as hard, yet subject to breakage as Obsidian, a Volcanic glass? I confess that that's something I'd be interested in trying, myself! Nice auction, as always, I'll be watching, again, as always!

Most all my pieces were made by me or myself and hubby and occassionally local artisans with whom their work touches me and I bought from them for my brick and mortar store! I am always touched when someone likes my work. These literally take thousands of hours for each one because I only know how to use blanketing, chisels, and any other rock hammer to rock blanket. i only bring out what is already in the stone and that Spirit directs me to find. I didn't learn from anyone but what my ancestors lead me to be able to do. I didn't have book or anything and I have broken 100's of pieces and believe me this is one of the few in Volcanic glass ie any of the Obsidians that I have successfully done. So I don't know how to tell anyone to make to them other than to say meditate and let you ancestors be your guides. Thank you for your compliments and I am sorry for any confusion.
