PLESE SEE ALL PHOTOS---The edges of the cartouche (sp?) ornate "frames" are heavily laid with gold!! My photos suffer, sorry. I have a devil of a time putting decent photos on Listia. (no other site) Gold around the frames is Standing up from the surface! Beautiful treasure to display in your home or shoppe. In one of the photos you may be able to view a stray brush stroke in black, darting from the gold circulating ring around very bottom of about the length of an eyelash to the base of the vase--that is the only flaw and occurred with the decoration rocess of the item. This is so lovely! I love the lounging geishas in there, all dressed to the hilt in different komonas, under a big umbrellas/parasol in front of an ornate tented decorated "structure". amid trees, flowers and looks like a tall lilac bush? Background of pastel mountains, etc. The smaller pictures are landscaped mountains and a stream. There are similar scenes on both sides round. Painted with the utmost of sensitivity and care by a very excellent artist, painstakingly. The applied gold is sooo rich. FREE INSURANCE & TRACKING
