The listing, Beautiful cushion cut Russian diopside ring has ended.

Here we have another victorian style ring to die for. Boy oh boy is this a gorgeous ring. It is approx. a size 7. There is something stamped inside the band, but I cannot make it out. It does not cling to a magnet. I inherited this ring and know nothing about it. From the way it is made, it could be white gold. I don't think its silver because I've had it for a very long time and there is no tarnishing. I have never worn it because it is too little for me. I will try to get it to a jeweler and find out for sure if its gold or not. Until then, please bid cautiously but confidently as I strive to keep my 100% seller rating.

Possibly Russian diopside. I think thats the correct spelling. As I said, I will take it to the jewelers to find out for sure.

One thing I can now say for sure is that it does in fact say "sterling" inside the band. I cannot believe the jewelry store said there was nothing stamped in the band. My sisters boyfriend has a jewelers loop and he was able to confirm without a doubt. Thank you so much for your confidence in me.

A .925 stamp can be stamped on solid sterling, sterling filled, or silver plated...so, I always ask if the seller knows. Or is some other metal?

i love this stone..i have a few loose gemstones of this myself..and it is one of the prettiest colors...how many carats is it? looks at least 12. I would love to find out what the stamping says..I do Gemstone lots on here a lot and would love to hear more about this ring..thanks

@bookworm7 your ring is likely a moldavite. It's from the area that's now the Czech republic. It's the only place in the world that it's found...a meteorite so large that the crater can be seen from out of space hit and the earth that went up high in the atmosphere and came down again is known as moldavite. It's a very powerful crystal and for me a real troublemaker! I have a rough one that is about 3 inches long.

You are so sweet. Makes me feel almost as happy as your baby looks. Funny, this is my favorite time of year but when the cold and damp start creeping in, it really hurts sometimes. I am to go in for an epidural on thursday for my back. I haven't had that procedure done before and am a little leary of it. Really I guess I'm just a little scared. I had to arrange for a driver so I don't really know what to expect from it. Hopefully a lot less pain for an extended time and not too long before I can get behind the wheel again. I don't know if its the same or not but I've had an epidural w/ all three of my kids and nothing at all went wrong. Hoping it all goes well. My mother-in-law has the same problem but she hates the cold, damp weather. Maybe it will help having the procedure done. You deserve it for being such a sweet person =)

Now your making me blush. I too had one with my second child,but this kind is supposed to block the pain in my back for 6 or more months. Way longer than the steroid shots do. We shall see. I sure would love to hear the laugh that went with that face. Just precious.
